NEWS: South Brook (Pasadena) land re-zoned

South Brook Point has seen a change in the allowed uses of the land.Until recently, the parcel was zoned tourism commercial, which only allowed for hotels, motels and park uses. K and W Investments bought the land to develop residential building lots and a condominium development. Mayor Bob Mercer said the land is now zoned residential light density, residential medium density and commercial.

Ken Brown expects the tenders to be called this weekend, with work starting on the project shortly after that.“We hope to have construction starting late spring or early summer. Construction being getting the infrastructure down there — water and sewer. You may see some buildings starting in June or July. They can start along with the installation of the water and sewer.
